Doing the work
The last couple of weeks have felt frantically busy. I have the feeling the rest of the year is going to be that way.
On top of my regular teaching, I sang an audition, accepted a role (yup! But I can’t give any details until I have a contract!), sang the first of three run-out gigs with the opera here, and of course, I’ve been working hard on getting ready to go to Spain!
These really busy times are tiring, but I also find them very rewarding. ESPECIALLY after the previous nearly two years. I’m grateful to be doing the thing I love to do again.
Looking to the next couple of weeks, I have the other two run-out shows with the opera, a voice lesson, another audition, probably another coaching, LOTS of practicing….oh, and also teaching.
So here’s my to-do list for the week:
Finish memorizing the rep for the two remaining concerts with the opera
Figure out exactly what I want to work on in my lesson this weekend
Polish up the rep for my audition in a couple of weeks - there is some cross-over with my rep for Spain here, but it’s not all the same
Keep working on my rep for Spain!
