There are many ways to think about the idea of faith: faith in God, faith in humanity, faith in the societal structures that govern our daily lives. All of these have been challenged by the happenings of the last few years.

Night: Psalms and Canticles will examine these challenges to our faith, and will progress from a place of easy faith, to the silence and indifference of God, to a higher and more complex understanding of what it means to have faith.

This concert is centered around two works by Jeffrey Wood, and will include the world premier of his new work "Songs of Ascents" featuring mezzo-soprano Sara Crigger, along with the composer himself at the piano. This concert will also feature works by Benjamin Britten, Maurice Ravel, and Ralph Vaughan Williams.
